The Fort Collins International Center (FCIC) and the Colorado State University Office of International Programs have been working together for almost 50 years to host the weekly Friday Afternoon Club. This club allows the Fort Collins Community to engage with the international community over a social cultural setting. Each week a program is giving to highlight different cultures.
On November 1, 2019 I collaborated with FCIC and created the idea of hosting a Day of the Dead culture night. I created these posters and printed out sugar skulls for attendees to color in. We also rented the movie Coco to show during the night. I chose bright colors as in Mexico day of the dead is a celebration. I used Canva and Google Photos to come up with the designs. Each of the posters easily explain details about the Mexican tradition and there was a trivia after referring to facts on the poster.
